Bradford West Area Panel

We were commissioned by Bradford West Area Panel to deliver a programme of environmental education to six primary schools throughout 2007.

The focus of our work was was to encourage the schools to use the school grounds as an educational resource and to engage the pupils in the broader community. We worked with pupils to plant trees, hedges and bulbs, creating seating and planting areas and willow tunnels. To supplement the school sessions the pupils visited local woods and Bowling Park Community Orchard.

Pupils were also involved in auditing their local neighbourhoods to highlight litter problems.

We produced an educational pack for the school staff. This includes activity sessions and management plans for the habitat resources created in the schools

The schools involved were:
Crossley Hall Primary
Thornton Primary
St Joesph's Catholic Primary
Copthorne Primary
Frizinghall Primary
Lister Primary
